Preface
In Beijing, only the five‑year multiple‑entry visa is currently available; other types (three‑year multiple‑entry, single‑entry) are not supported.
The Japanese visa must be submitted through an agency to the embassy; individuals cannot submit directly.
I found “Japanese visa” on Feizhu and saw that China Youth Travel Service (CITS), which I had used for a Singapore visa, also handles Japanese visas, so I chose them. This is for reference only and is not a recommendation.

Official statement from the travel agency: once all documents are complete and approved, they are sent to the Japanese embassy/consulate, and the visa is issued in about 9 business days.
In practice, it takes about 5 business days—still quite fast.

All set, just waiting for the wind to blow!
Let’s ride the wave in 2023!
