The “Annual Planning Handbook” below comes from a group share. This is the first time I’ve taken such a serious annual review and thought about my plans for the new year. It feels truly magical—may the future no longer be a blur, and may I know who I am and where I’m headed. Sincerely,

A New Year 2023

Dare to Dream

What will your new year look like? In an ideal scenario, what will happen? Why would it be great?

Write it down, draw it, set aside your expectations, and be brave enough to imagine.

Actually, I don’t have any brand‑new dreams this year; they’re continuations of the past few years, or rather, I feel many things are finally ripe for action. I spent a long time deciding which image would express my hopes for the coming year, and I settled on this sunrise picture. A sunrise symbolizes hope—may the future keep getting better.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The Magical “Three” for the New Year

Three things I love most about myself

NO IDEA YET

Three things I’m ready to let go of

Detach from the issues, focus on living well for myself, respect and blessings from others; two more are unknown.

Three things I most want to accomplish

Try to get things right; two more are unknown.

Three people I can lean on when I’m in trouble

Teacher Li, Mom, and one more unknown.

Three directions I’ll explore

Continue studying psychology, learn about other industries’ roles and skills, keep getting to know myself.

Three things I have the courage to say “no” to

Speak up when something makes me uncomfortable, stop tolerating it; two more are unknown.

Three things that make my environment feel comfortable

A bit of intangibility is others’ respect; tangibility is fresh flowers and fragrance.

Three things I’ll do every morning

Hug my cat, glance at the view outside the window, and one more unknown.

Three ways I’ll regularly release myself

Go on a nice restaurant date, watch Korean variety shows as a travel substitute, travel together (maybe I can finally travel this year).

Three places I’ll go

Definitely Hangzhou and a bamboo‑forest B&B in Anji; I also want to go to the Sichuan‑Tibet route, Xinjiang, Switzerland, Iceland—so many places…

Three ways I’ll stay in touch with the people I love

Occasional WeChat messages, occasional small gifts, and expressing my gratitude to them.

Three gifts I’ll give myself to celebrate success

NO IDEA YET
